Château Clarisse awarded 2020 Coups de Coeur of Saint-Emilion wines

Monday 20th of January was held the “Coupe des Crus de Saint-Emilion” in the magnificent setting of the CAPC Musée d’Art Contemporain of Bordeaux. 100 wine professionals (brokers, wine merchants, oenologists, sommeliers, restaurateurs, wine merchants…), journalists and enlightened amateurs (members of oenology/sommelier clubs, specialised schools) came to judge the 117 competing wines and select the “Coups de Coeur” of Saint-Emilion wines!

This unique and warm evening was sponsored by Jane ANSON, journalist, award-winning author and graduate of the Bordeaux Faculty of Oenology, a correspondent for Decanter magazine and accredited professor at the Bordeaux Wine School. (Decanter is the oldest consumer wine publication in the UK and is now – quite simply – the world’s leading wine media brand.)

Jane ANSON also rigorously blind tasted all the wines over 3 vintages (2012, 2015 and 2016), during qualifying matches.

The selection of the Coups de Coeur 2020 of Saint-Emilion wines will be highlighted throughout the year, during various events and communication actions organised by the Saint-Emilion Wine Council (including a stage of the Saint-Emilion Wine Trip, a competition game, information letters to professionals, social networks, press release…).

A cocktail reception closed the evening in a convivial and festive atmosphere with music! A real moment of sharing around the same passion!

Château Clarisse was selected as one of the 2020 favourites during the Coupe des Crus!
