Solid black cherry and some plum fruit as well as background oak, medium to full body, and a ripe, polished, balanced style all characterize the 2020 Château Clarisse Vieilles Vignes. It’s another impressive Right Bank that will have some up-front appeal yet keep for a decade or so.

The 2020 Cuvée Vieilles Vignes is vibrant and loaded with energy. Bright acids drive the red berry fruit, while floral, spice and blood orange notes add quite a bit of aromatic presence. The2020 is a little nervy, but it has fine balance and appears to have enough fruit to fill out the layers.

The 2020 Clarisse Vieilles Vignes gives more amplitude and intensity than the regular cuvée, offering plush black cherries, blueberry and violet aromas. The palace is medium-bodied with a similar texture yet there is a little more salnity and certainly more persistence on the finish. Give this 2-3years in bottle

Dark pruple colour with violet hue and black core. Expressive nose with juicy fruit, ripe berries, plums and black cherries, discreet spiciness and fine toasting aroma in the background. On the palate well balanced with ripe yet firm tannins, juicy fruit, freshness and very good lenght.

  91-92 Fruit mûr à point, annonçant une jolie densité. La bouche est plutôt mordante, élancée, construite autour d’une matière al dente et d’une bonne trame acide. Tanins fermes mais fins, bonne allonge, finale légèrement acidulée sur un petit fruit croquant.

Inky dark core with a purple hue. Fine toast and smoke with aromas of ripe blackberry, cassis and some meaty notes. Polished and dense palate, modern and glossy with a fine vein of freshly, crushed dark berries, some meaty and spicy notes leading to a long finish.

Lovely nose, aromatic and expressive. Really enjoyable texture here, everything feels nicely balanced and packaged with bright black fruit flavours combined with acidity and freshness.
