90-91 Full-bodied with ripe berry, dark earth and chewy earth and chewy tannins. Rich and tannic. A little rustic, but impressive for the appellation.

A linear, chewy red with purple-fruit and blackberry character. It’s medium-bodied with a flavorful finish. Shows focus. – 91/92

Château Clarisse – Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion 2018 – 91/100 Blueberry and blackberry with some lavender. Medium to full body, lightly firm tannins and a fresh finish. Good tension for the appellation. Better after 2021

Château Clarisse – Vieilles Vignes 2018 – 92/100 A medium-bodied red with very nice density and layers. Firm, silky tannins and a flavorful finish. Blue fruit and black-tea undertones. Some bark and moss, too, suggesting the old vins. Try after 2021.  

2018 – Château Clarisse – Primeurs – Antocyanes : 91-93

Fruits frais et harmonieux, cerise noire et épices. Plus digeste que d’habitude. Bouche onctueuse et pure, de beaux arômes de fruits noirs avec plénitude et allonge. Un Clarisse charmeur à souhait. Bravo !

A chewy and tannic young red with lots of blackberry and bark character. Full and savory already

2018 – Chateau Clarisse – Primeurs – Jeb Dunnuck : 88-90

Château Clarisse 2018 is certainly a success. Pretty notes of cassis, black cherries, and lots of floral notes all flow to a medium-bodied, lightly texture, seamless Saint-Emilion that has terrific purity as well as integrated acidity. I love its balance, and it should be an outstanding wine.

Château Clarisse -Vieilles Vignes 2017 – 92/100 A rich red with blueberry, blackberry and black-tea aromas and flavors. It’s full and layered with soft tannins and a delicious finish. Drink or hold

Château Clarisse – Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion 2017 – 91/100 A ripe, fruity wine for the vintage with blackberry and blueberry character. Full body, firm and lightly chewy tannins and a flavorful finish. Drinkable now, but better in a year or two.
